Taken from their upcoming EP, The State Of Things, Lucia & The Best Boys drop their comeback single, ‘Perfectly Untrue’. The three-piece are well-versed in eclecticism. Their early work was often full of choppy riffage, but this track takes them down a warm, haunting path full of synth work and reverb-soaked vocals. They claim influence from the likes of Miles Cyrus and Stevie Nicks, but it is Kate Bush who comes through both auditorily and visually as lead vocalist Lucia takes us on a cinematic journey through a variety of looks, each dripping with the unique style of dance Bush is known for. “These multiple versions of self appear through glass, reflection and shadows, which further distorts a twisted darker truth of all that is perfectly untrue,” explains director Rianne White.
